I finally figured out what I would do if I had access to unlimited funds. I would commission a choreographer to create performances for some of my favorite songs, starting with Clark’s “New Year Storm.” On that note I can’t wait to dance to dubstep tonight at Canopy Club.

I had trouble sleeping last night because of this damn loud cricket outside my window. To stop the chirping I rattled the window, poured some water on it, and sprayed some air freshener around it, but nothing worked. I put in ear plugs, but I could still hear it. Finally, I played this loop of cricket sounds near the window, which would alternately shut it up, I think, and at least mask it a little when it did chirp.

Jennifer’s Body was ridiculous in ways I couldn’t have predicted.

Jennifer’s Body was ridiculous in ways I couldn’t have predicted. Hipster horror at its best/worst. I liked how the plot revolved around an indie band making a pact with Satan because of how hard they thought it was to get noticed. I was also glad that it wasn’t a rape revenge film like I initially thought. Some of the camp was okay but mostly felt like bad acting.

Queer Team Edward vs. Straight Team Jacob

I was listening to Kanye and he had this line that reminded me of another reason I am on Team Edward: “My friend showed me pictures of his kids And all I could show him was pictures of my cribs He said his daughter got a brand new report card (card) And all I got was a brand new sports car Uh.”

Jacob was basically tempting Bella with a normal life. He said he could give her kids and help her build and hold onto her family. All standard heteronormative fare, and you know how I feel about that.

But Bella’s response was that she always felt different, queer if you will. So, if we’re thinking from Bella’s point of view, Edward is the best choice for her queer-ish non-heteronormative desires. And as a gay vague connoisseur it should be clear why I identify with that.

Also, Edward sparkles like a disco ball, and we all know how I feel about disco balls. Queer queer queer.

Oh yeah, cheer up Kanye. Resist that heteronormative discipline. Haters gonna hate.

I dreamt that someone at a party had smashed my camera lens and filled it with gooey candy. Good thing though because I had been trying to wake up. Wonder if there’s a way to make nightmares into alarm clocks.
