Were you sleeping at home or at this campground in a tent? If it was at home...try those 'sound machines'. They offer a constant sound that drowns out everything. I didn't think I could sleep with one until I had to share a room with another mom on a trip. It was great. Of course, it might not be practical if camping. Yvette
